It's a Coffee and Candles Sort of Day

It stormed last night so...yep...kids were sprawled all over the living room with their blankets and pillows. A couple of those kiddos found their way to our bed at some point in the wee hours of the morning, which may be why my husband wound up on the love seat. While it's not exactly comfortable to have to sleep like sardines, I remind myself that one of these days I'll wish my children were little enough to come snuggle with me again! These times of sweet little people needing my comfort and kisses to get them through a scary night will pass far too quickly.

And now, it's off to get the day rolling! It's beeeee-eautiful outside. Which means it's dreary and rainy, of course. I love it. Coffee, candles, and a book? Yes, please! Well, the book may be wishful thinking. Maybe after housework and school. So...I'm off to light candles and make coffee!

  1. Hi there! I'm constantly reminding myself of the very things you pointed out! My thought typically begins like this, " one day I 'll wish my children needed me to...." fill in the blank! Blessings to you. Hopefully you found a little cuddle time with your book!

  2. Kathy, would you believe that the sun had the audacity to come out? Humph! :) I didn't get "book time", but it was my own fault. I did, however, get to spend some fun time in the kitchen with the kids. Thanks for stopping by, and for your comment!
    Blessings,
